Michael Bingham, CPA
Managing Partner, Blue Diamond Capital Investment Advisors
Michael Bingham co-founded Blue Diamond Capital in 2007 and serves as the firm’s Managing Partner. He brings over 20 years of experience in investment management, mergers and acquisitions, financing, operations, investor relations, real estate development, and corporate governance. Mr. Bingham is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and actively serves on the boards of several private businesses, including Visionary Homes, Rimrock Construction, Desert Color, and PEG Development.

At Blue Diamond Capital, Mr. Bingham is responsible for the strategic direction of the firm and is closely involved in the oversight of portfolio companies. His responsibilities include investment sourcing, due diligence, capital structuring, equity raising, and strategic planning. The firm’s portfolio includes publicly traded securities, private equity, and real estate investments.
Prior to founding Blue Diamond Capital, Mr. Bingham served as Chief Financial Officer of Phone Directories Company (PDC), where he led the company through multiple acquisitions and managed the sale of both its Canadian operations and a majority equity stake. Earlier in his career, he worked in finance and private equity at Liberty Safe and began his professional journey as an auditor at Ernst & Young.
Mr. Bingham earned both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Accounting from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University. He also serves on the U.S. Bank Advisory Board and has participated in philanthropic efforts including Utah State University’s capital campaign.
As a principal of a registered investment adviser, Mr. Bingham adheres to a fiduciary standard of care, acting in the best interest of clients and providing investment oversight that is objective, diligent, and aligned with each client’s needs.
Outside of work, Mr. Bingham enjoys time with his family, fishing in Alaska, traveling, wakeboarding, and following college basketball.
Brandon Ball, CPA
Partner, Blue Diamond Capital Investment Advisors
Brandon Ball is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of Utah and has been with Blue Diamond Capital since 2013. He has over 15 years of experience in finance, accounting, and private investments.
Mr. Ball’s responsibilities include sourcing and negotiating new investment opportunities, managing workouts and restructurings of distressed investments, and serving on the boards of several portfolio companies. Earlier in his tenure, he oversaw the firm’s financial reporting processes, consolidated forecasting, and loan covenant compliance.

Prior to joining Blue Diamond Capital, Mr. Ball worked at Backcountry.com, where he supported corporate acquisition efforts and was responsible for financial reporting to the company’s parent, Liberty Media. He began his career with KPMG in Salt Lake City, where he served clients in the healthcare, financial services, and government sectors.
Mr. Ball holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Accounting from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University. He maintains an active CPA license in Utah.
As a partner of a registered investment adviser, Mr. Ball is committed to upholding a fiduciary duty to clients, placing their interests ahead of his own and providing investment advice that is objective, prudent, and aligned with each client’s goals and circumstances.
Brandon resides in Utah with his wife, Rachel, and their four children.
Michael McKay, CPA
Partner, Blue Diamond Capital Investment Advisors
Michael McKay is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of Arizona. He joined Blue Diamond Capital in April 2016 and currently oversees the firm’s financial reporting processes, consolidated forecasting, and loan covenant compliance. He also leads tax planning and compliance initiatives across the firm’s portfolio.

Prior to joining Blue Diamond Capital, Mr. McKay served as North America Tax Manager for Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL), a global container shipping and logistics company. In that role, he managed tax accounting, compliance, and transfer pricing across operations in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Previously, he was Corporate Tax Manager at First Solar, where he specialized in income tax accounting and SEC-related disclosures. He also held roles at Van Komen Consulting, focusing on sales and use tax planning, and began his career as an associate at Ernst & Young in Phoenix, Arizona.
Mr. McKay holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University and a Master’s degree in Accounting from the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah.
In his role with a registered investment adviser, Mr. McKay supports the firm’s fiduciary duty by maintaining accurate and transparent financial reporting in accordance with client-focused and regulatory standards.
Michael and his wife, Melanie, are the parents of four children and enjoy spending time outdoors in Utah.
